The House
The seahouse that got a new life
Lovisenborg – the Hagbart Hansen house – is one of three fisheries that are left in the outer quay of Kongsfjord. Lovisenborg has three remaining buildings; the manager´s residence, a warehouse and a fish cleaning shed. The manager´s residence was built in 1910 and it was used as a residential house untill the mid 50s. After that the fishery was left to decay until 2008 when we started the renovation of the manager´s residence. The renovations were finished in 2013.
The manager´s residence is about 60 m2, spread on two floors. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor with 4 beds combined. Living room, bathroom and kitchen are situated on the ground floor. There is also electricity, water and internet in the manager´s residence. The kitchen has all facilities. The residence is heated by electric radiators, a woodburner in the kitchen and both the bathroom and the entrance have underfloor heating. It is also possible for one person to sleep in the living room.
The manager´s residene is one of three buildings on a restored quay. Due to this there is about 200m2 of common quay area where about 40m2 of this is directly surrounding the manager´s residence itself, and this is included in the renting price.
